TEDPIX gains 18,000 points on Wednesday

TEHRAN- TEDPIX, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), gained 18,291 points to 1.472 million on Wednesday.

As reported, over 10.089 billion securities worth 63.182 trillion rials (about $217.8 million) were traded at the TSE.

The first market’s index rose 11,815 points, and the second market’s index climbed 41,728 points.

TEDPIX lost 15,000 points to 1,402,830 in the past Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Ministry has said the government plans to continue supporting the stock market in the long run and shareholders can count on the government’s strategic support.

“The government, along with its short-term and temporary measures to support the stock market, has a long-term strategic plan to continue supporting the market in the future,” the ministry said in a statement released in November.
